Great Weekend in Wrentham

In our first action with our new players, our girls proved their mettle in Wrentham at the RI Thunder Fall Tuneup Showcase.  Under-manned all weekend, and taking on a mix of Long Island teams and one LOADED Hudson Valley Hurricanes squad, our girls came out with a 2-3 record and should be proud of the way they played.  The bats were sah-mokin'!!  And the leather a'flyin'.  Highlights:  AJ's towering blasts against the Long Island Express and the King Philip Pride.  Sammy's two run double in the fifth game.  Kate gunning down runners against the Heat and Pride.  JulieAnne, Mary and Delaney powering their way on base all weekend.  Lauren's rbi single against the Pride.  We saw lots of good this weekend and are happy to have our newest Heat girls in the dugout with us.  Looking forward to next weekend in Devens.
